Titanic

My laptop was completely broken.
Now I realized how my laptop was important for me...
Moreover, I have no money to buy a new one.
But...It's ok. I thought I should stay away from PC for a while.

I restarted to read academic reading.

It's a real story of Titanic.
I watched the movie so many times, and cried every time.
One day, I saw a documentary about Titanic in National geographic channel, and I was so excited. Titanic has been there in 3,650m under the Atlantic ocean since April 15, 1912 at 2:20am.
I heard that the last survivor passed away in 2009. And she was also the youngest person on Titanic(9 weeks after she was born), so she said that she didn't remember anything about Titanic.
Another survivor's story in this book was so interesting. The second officer of Titanic survived, and he continued to work on White Star Line(same company of Titanic). After that, he worked for 2 ships called "Oceantic"and"Falcon", but both of them sank too.


Anyway, I introduced this in one of my English class, and I became more interested in this topic.
Big ship in dark ocean... this kind of stories are so attracted me.

Lose Yourself

Ooooh...so cold....

These days, I really don't want to go to school.
I just want to stay home, and read books. I have many books to read.(Of course in Japanese!!!)

I think, winter is best season for thinking.
Recently I often think about my future.
And maybe almost of all my friends also think about their future, because it's the time to do jobhunting.

I'm little confusing now.
But I think, I'm in a way to solve this problem.
I try to think and move. Because, It's my life! It's now or never~♪ (I love this song! haha...)


Anyway! I want to introduce my favorite song again.
I think it's also about "Life", but little bit different from our life.
It's "Lose Yourself" by EMINEM.
I love this song because the rhyme is very comfortable to listen for me and rhythm isn't monotonous.
And just so cool. Listen.


The opportunity comes once in a lifetime.
I love this song, and I love his song.
When I was a high school student, I listened his song on the radio, and  go straight to CD shop to buy his album.

Japanemation

Do you know the word "Japanemation"?
Maybe all of you guys understand what this word meant.
The animation in this country has been achieved more than any other country.
However I didn't realize it since I watched one famous Japanese animation.
It was "Evangelion".

When I was a high school student, one of my friend told me that "Evangelion is great".
She wasn't the type of Otaku, and I was little bit surprised that she said so.
Because I thought that the Evangelion is just "Robot fighting animation", and maybe the story is easy to predict.
But, I was wrong.

Some years later, I started to watch Evangelion. And I was so impressed.
The story was so grand and constructive. There are some elements of religion. It showed one idea of how mankind was born and why we gonna die out.
All of characters shows their difficulty of living in their age. And we can have sympathy with them.

Then, why I think Evangelion is great "Japanemation"?
It is because that they aren't lose the elements of Japan . If you see the title, you can aware of some elements of Japan. For example, they use Japanese old letter such as "ヱ"and "ヲ". And the orders of movie are expressed by "序" and "破". They originally meant the ways of playing Japanese old music instrument and "Noh-play". All name of characters are Japanese, and they aren't living in shelter or spaceship but they living in small japanese style apartment. Actually, the place of this anime is based on Hakone in Kanagawa.

The animation of Evangelion began airing in 1995, and the movies are still continuing untill now. Newest movie "破" was screened in 2009, and the amount sales of this movie was over 5billion yen.
Sometimes people avoid to watch anime, because they think that anime=otaku.
But, "Seeing is believing". If you watched "anime" once, you can understand why Japanemation is such a big sensation.

Moldman the Bellringer in Dublin

I went to see a play "Moldman the Bellringer in Dublin " with my friend Erika.
It was played by Konan-Ichiza that is a drama club in Konan university.
They usually played in Konan university, but in this time, they played in Osaka because they participate in "Osaka Student Drama Festival". And the place was very big.

I think it was great! I know almost of all actor and actress who appeared in this stage, so I was able to understand how they improved. And the script is also good. They used the script that was writed by Hirohito Goto(Not original one), so the story line is clear and interesting.

Their stage in Osaka was finished today. But they gonna play in Novemver 26th and December 3rd in Konan university. If you want to know more about this show, please visit their HP.

JICA

Yesterday, I went to JICA in Osaka with my friend.
We participated  the lecture of Mr.Koji Nakamura(a teacher of Konan university)
I have been intersted in that kind of international organization, then, my friend asked me to go to his lecture.

He did a lecture about Japanese culture and history to 30 people who came from mainly Africa.
Before the lecture, we have to introduce myself in front of them, and actually I felt vey nervous.
But they listened very warmly so I became so relaxed.

The lecture was very interesting. Mr. Koji Nakamura is very funny, but he talked about Japanese war history very seriously. They listened his lecture very carefully.

The lecture in JICA was very good experience for me, and I'm very thankful for him to inviting me.


After the lecture finished, my friends and I went to JICA cafeteria to eat lunch.
It was a buffet day, so we can ate many kinds of foreign foods.

That was great! and it costs only 600yen!
But...we ate too much...haha...

Sweet Halloween!

Halloween day isn't special day for me.
But I'm glad to take chocolate, candy, and some other sweet things!

Autumn

Hi!
Today, I had a interview for studying abroad.
I think I did ok, but I'm very nervous about consequences...It'll be change my life...!

But anyway, I should concentrate now.

I don't know why, but I agree with this saying.

This is a spoof film of famous vampire movie "Twilight".
If you feel depressed, I recommend you to watch this.

Yoshimoto

Yesterday, I went to Osaka to see a Yoshimoto-Shinkigeki(It is comedy show stage) with my family, grandparents and some relatives.
Although I have been living in Kansai for 21 years, It was the first time that I saw this show.
So I was so looking forward to watching this.
Saturaday is a start of three-day holiday, so there were a lot of people around Nanba Grand Kagetsu.

Show schedule was so tight. They held 4 stages in 1day, so we can entered theatre 20minutes before starting the show. And next show was started 30minutes after we left.
I think that was pretty hard but maybe it is a "Osaka style".

I was also surprised that there were many opening performances. Japanese called it "Zenza(前座)".
It took about one and a half hours and it was so great! Because many famous comedian appeared in this Zenza such as "Warai-Meshi", "Katsura Bunchin(He is a Rakugo performer)","Miyagawa Daisuke and Hanako" and so on...I was so excited!!
And I was realized that Japanese "Rakugo" is so fun! I mean...it was so elegance!
A motion of Rakugo performer was really smart...I don't know how to explain in English but I thought it was so cool!


And main event "Shinkigeki" was also great!
Fortunately, my favorite Yoshimoto comedian Tuzimoto Shigeo appeared on this stage.
Do you know famous Yoshimoto character called "Shigezo"?

He is just great!
The whole audience were always full of big laughter.


It was a great holiday!
I love Osaka!
I love Osaka's "chaos" atomosphere! lol

My summer vacation 2 "Kochi trip 2 -Shimanto-"

Hi !
I haven't uploaded my blog so long time. Sorry!
This is about my Kochi trip after I went to my father's hometown Shimanto-town.

I want to introduce my cousin's dog "Hime"↓

She is treated just like a Hime(It's mean "Princess" in Japanese).

I think she should go on a diet.

In Shimanto-town, There is a beautiful river called "the Shimanto-river"
I swimmed there with my cousin and relative.

We jumped off the bridge into the river.

It was so excited!
I forgot that I am already grown- ups...haha...

And I painted the Tyrannosaurus on a rock in the river.

I used only a piece of red brick and my finger.
I know it is a little childish, but it was so fun for me!


After that, we went to "Kaiyodo Hobby Museum".
Kaiyodo was a small hobby company, but became famous as "Choco Egg".
The museum was built on this July, but It was built in so deep in the mountains.
Maybe, you can't belive how deep is here.

However, A lot of people came to see a museum.
In a museum, so many kinds of Figure dolls are displayed.

My summer vacation 2 "Kochi trip vol.1"

Good morning!
The next is about Kochi trip with my friend!

I went to Kochi on August 9th to 15th.
My father's hometown is also Kochi, so I stayed in Kochi-city with my friend on August 9-10 and go to my father's hometown on August 11-15.
It was great!! I went to Kochi so many times but I rarely go to tourism spot. So maybe this is the first time I climbed the Kochi-castle.
There are many histrical spot in Kochi. I think this is one of the reason I like Kochi.
The most famous one is Sakamoto Ryoma. If you go to Kochi, you can see a lot of "Ryoma" !!

We visited many places and ate delicious Kochi food!

This is Harimaya-Bridge. It is famous as the three major "GAKKARI" spot in Japan.
And we also felt GAKKARI! haha...(better than we thought...!)

Katsura-beach(桂浜). Maybe Ryoma saw the same sight.

The Sasimi of bonito(鰹のたたき). It was so good!

The statue of Ryoma. It was bigger than I thought.

Shirasu-don. Goooood!


However, My true purpose of this trip is...Watch Yosakoi dance!
291 teams were participated this year. They danced through the street of everywhere in Kochi-city with beautiful costume and loud music. This is so big festival in Kochi.

This is my favorite team "Obiya-Machisuzi"↓↓

They all use big truck called "Zikata-sya(地方車)" to play music, and singer and music player on this truck.
I was sooooo excited to watch this team.

Japanese famous actress Ryoko Hirosue is from Kochi, and danced with this team every year.
She appeared 2nd days of this festival, so I wasn't able to watch her.
Actually, She wasn't danced this year. But she is so cute↓↓



Yosakoi festival is so exciting! I can't wait to see next Yosakoi festival !
I suggest you to see this festival one time !

My summer vacation 1 "Volunteer work in Minami Sanriku"

Hey!
So long time no see...!
I was just...enjoy my summer vacation! haha...
I have a lot of things to write!



But first, I have to write about my volunteer work in Miyagi, Minami-Sanriku on August 1 to 4th.
I participated in the volunteer group called "Takarazuka Kibou-Ouentai". They wasn't the student group, so wide range of ages joined this group.

We took 15 hours to reach Minami- Sanriku, and worked 2days to eliminate a lot of garbage.
In Minami-Sanriku, There's nothing there.

Everythings are gone.

We tend to feel that disaster is end. But there wasn't.

It was far away from recovery. There were still a lot of garbage and debris.

Many volunteer people came from anywhere in Japan.

They used Yonezawa beaf ! It was great!

They are so positive. I respect them.

I heared that they want more volumteer.

So If I will have time and chance, I try to go there again.

"Tetsu no Hoshizora"

Today, I went to see a play "Tetsu no Hoshizora". It was performed by Konan-Ichiza.

My friend is the director and script writer of this show. I think he did a good job!

Hit and Run

Do you know "Miyuki Torii"? She is a Japanese comedian.
If you know, You may say that she is so crazy. Because her style, words, behavior, etc... everythings are seems so crazy.

However, I think she is so clever person.
If you listened to her words carefully, you can understand that each of her words has its own meanings.
And her show style is different from other Japanese comedian. Her show is like a play, and she is like an actress.

Sometimes, her show is little dangerous to TV broadcast because her show is so destructive and so violent.
So she does what she wants in live show. Her live show is more interesting than her TV show.
I have never been to her live show, but I really really want to go there.

Beautiful Sunday

Today, I went to Sanda to see hydrangea(Azisai).

I'm not interested in flower, but it was beautiful! I think blue one is good.
When I watching hydrangea, I was so surprised that a snake wriggled in front of me.



The rain is over, summer has come!
Recently, I try to make some plans for summer vacation.
Of cource I have no money and I have a lot of things to do, but I can handle it!

One of my plan is go to Kochi prefecture with my friend, with my family.
Kochi is special place for me. Where is my father's hometown and the most favorite place in Japan for me.
I can't wait to go there! ：)


In order to do that, I have to get through the final exam.
So busy!

All About Lily-Chou-Chou

"All About Lily Chou-Chou"

The movie is made by Shunji Iwai in 2001.
This is a story about difficulity of Japanese high school student.
And Lily Chou-Chou is a singer appeared in this movie. She is a only hope for the main character Shunichi.

The world of young people sometimes harder than adults.

I like the way of taking this movie such as a camera angle or location.
The music is also good. Lily Chou-Chou is a real singer "Salyu".
Her voice is match this movie's atomosphere.
It's not happy movie. But I think there is a reality of Japanese young people.

Revolutionists

Yesterday, I went to see a play "革命日記（Revolutionists）" with my friend.

It was performed by "Seinendan", and the script is written by Oriza Hirata.

My friend is huge fun of him, so he invite me to see this play.

The story is about a leftist movement in the present day.

They want to change everything, and plan to cause two terrorism at the same time.

I think his play was so interesting and unique. His play was like a daily life.

Actors didn't speak louder and they often show us their back.

I felt like that I watched the part of their daily life.

Sound of falling rain makes me feel so comfortable.

2days ago, I bought a cool poster.

It's so cool, isn't it???

It's so rare case that I bought something for myself...like this kinds of hobby stuff.

A Hard day's night

Hey !
I'm so tired of my part-time job today. But I got many unsold Obento!
Those Obento is gonna be my tomorrow's lunch. That's easy way to save money. haha...

By the way, I went to watch the Handball game yesterday.
It was so fun! My high school team won the game. Wow...I'm so proud of them.
And I was so happy to met my old club mates. I had a great time with them! ：)

It's just his story, but I was so moved when I finished reading this book.
Black people were segregated at that time, because they were black.
But they didn't fought against the white people by violence even though white people tried to stop them by violence.
I respect him in that point. Maybe a lot of black people thought that violence is most easy way to change, and many black people did so.
But he knows the best way to change. I think he changes everything in beautiful way.

Very rainy day...

I took TOFEL IBT test yesterday.
I think, It wasn't good. My reading skill is still bad because I have no time to answered all of the question.
But I think writing is littile improved. I got used to typing a English in this blog.

Recently I love to watch "Ugly Betty".
The story is about Mexican-American girl who got a job in fashion magazine "MODE". She is so clever and good person, but her fashion sence is so bad(but I love her clothes!). Because of this, everyone in MODE teased her, but became trust and love her.

She makes me so positiveness. I watch this when I depressed my English skill and future.



I really very love the last part of this video.
Scene and song are so mutched. I also love this song "Suddenly I see―KT tunstall".


Thanks to this drama, I'm so interested in Spanish recently.
So I try to study Spanish little by little. It's just for fun. But I hope that I will be speaking a Spanish fluently someday.

It's not the scene of Ugly Betty. Three people appeared in this video are all the cast of Ugly Betty(The roll of Betty and Betty's family). I can't understand what they speaking about. But according to this title"prop8", they try to protect the rights of same-sex marriage in Carifornia.

Wow... I was surprised that they can speaks Spanish, and their attitudes to politics.
Maybe Japanese acter or actress avoid to shows their opinion to politics. I think.

Mmmm...It's so interesting. I wish I could understand what they says!

Yesterday, I went to mini concert of "moumoon".
Moumoon is a singer unit consist of YUKA(singer) and Masaki Kousuke(song writer). Actually I didn't know much about them, but I knew one of their song used in a TV commercial of SHISEIDO, and I thought that was good. The song is "Sunshine Girl".



I want to listen this through radio in summer beach.
Her English pronunciation makes me feel comfortable.

And the concert was great!
I found that other songs are also good ：）

Happy Friday

Hey!
Today I went to "Torikizoku (Yakitori restaurant and bar)" with my friend Erika.
We ate a lot and drunk a little. Actually I felt little sick today, so I can't drink a lot. But it was so fun!
I think Torikizoku is very kind to student because food and drinks are all 280yen! It is so cheap, isn't it?
Moreover, they are all delicious! I think sometimes Japanese Izakaya restaurant's alcohol is so weak. They add too much water in it. But I love Torikizoku's drink! ：)


...and yes, I said I try to read the level 5 books. However I realized that it takes a lot of time to read.
I want to read many types of books, so I decide to keep reading lower level books. Actually I'm halfway through reading the level 3 book. I will uploade my book report soon!

My friend Erika gave me a castle for my birthday!
Just kidding. It's a block of "Schloss Neuschwanstein".
I saw a picture of Neuschwanstein, and I think it is so beutiful place.
I want to go there someday.
For now, I try to meke this !

I have to prepare for TOFEL IBT test in May 28th.

Most important task is Reading skill. Read carefully and fast...It's so difficult for me.

I want to introduce a interesting movie.



He is Michael Sandel, a profeccer of harvard university. And also he is a writer of the book "Justice".
In this movie, he talks about "What's the right thing to do" by using many examples.
Actually I can' t understood everything, but I guess that he is try to talks about difficult things in kindly way.
There are many standpoints to think about what is the justice, so I'm very interest in this topic recently.
One thing that I was so surprised in this movie is student's partisipation for this class. When profeccer asks them a question, many people raise their hand and answer the question with their unique opinion. I can't believe this because japanese student tends to become shy in like that situation.
I want to take this course.

Anyway this book is wrote about the family, father and daughter, involving a terrorism in London. Terrorists are Irish who wants to free Ireland from England, so terrorism is their "Justice". However, that terrorism killed 5 innocent people.
The question is "What kind of Justice it is".

It's very difficult matter.

On that day,TV news and picture of news paper shows that American people happily cereblating the death of OBL in front of White House and ground 0. And people in sports studium yelled "USA" again and again.
I thought it was little crazy. I even felt fear for it. It's difficult to say why I felt so, but maybe I felt something wrong that people "celebrating" the death. No matter what he did.

American people(I don't know all of Americans but at least president of America) tend to use the word "Justice" frequently. And this time, Obama said "Justice has been done"―by what? by...Iraq war?

And surprisingly, they are alomost lose the control of nuclear power plant!
Wow...
We have to think again about necessity of the nuclear power plant.

I get cold easily←How do you say "寒がり" in English? It's difficult to translate.

Anyway, I keep trying to read English book.

In this book, I can read the stories about people living in New York.
Not all story finished happily.
I can learn some lessons from this book.
One of lesson is "Can't buy me love" !




I'm thinking about reading higher level, because I'm getting used to read book.
For now, I'm reading other Lv.2 books, so maybe next time.

"The Wizard of Oz" and "The Death of Karen Silkwood"

"The Wizard of Oz"

It took about 30 minutes to read this book.
I was interested in this book because I watched "Wicked" when I went to NY trip in this spring vacation.
Story of "Wicked" is about bad witch and good witch(they appered in the wizard of oz)when they were in same callage.
I watched the musical, but I didn't know about the story of  wizard of oz. So I can understand backstory of Wicked now.


In the end of this story, Dorothy(girl) killed the bad witch.
It was so happy scene in this story, but if you know about the story of Wicked, it's so sad scene.
I recommend to watch "Wicked". It is so fun and hopeful story.

"The Death of Karen Silkwood"
Grade:Lv.2

I like this.
The story is about the woman who worked in a neclear factory.
She tried to expose about bad situation of nuclear factory.
And she was killed by someone, but it's mystery.
I think this is so timely story because this story makes me think about dangerous of nuclear.

If you watched the disney movie"Enchanted(魔法にかけられて)", you can understand who is the Green Witch↓↓

She is the original broadway cast of "Wicked". Her singing is awesome!

Although it takes a lot of time, I try to keep reading this kinds of book.

I just finish reading.
It took about 2weeks to read.
Actually I'm so busy now,so I can't get much time to read.

I know a lot about America, but I don't know about American history.
I can understand what is "Native Americans" called "Indian".

I wish I could write whole story about this trip,but unfortunately I don't have English skill to do that.

So this is a part of my trip.

When I'm in NY, I tried to speak English in any case.(I called UN to make a Japanese tour reservation!!)
But I felt impatient at me, because I can't speak what I want to speak.

I regret my lazy at learning English soooo much !!!


When I came back to Japan,I realize that English is important.
And this trip reminds me what I wanted to do.
Recently I lost my way.

I gave up to studying abroad last year, but now, I want to.
It's now or never!
